This is not a traditional throwback. It’s a fauxback — a creatively reimagined identity built around the question:
“What if Sacramento Republic existed in the 1990s?”
The design pulls inspiration from that era’s bold visual language — oversized wordmarks, fierce mascots, geometric patterns — while grounding everything in authentic California symbolism. From the CA State Flag font to the Tower Bridge-inspired gold, every element was chosen to blend 90s sports nostalgia with regional pride. The result is a retro-inspired look that feels fresh, ownable, and uniquely Sacramento.
